Company profile

Since 1946 Boomkwekerij van Rijn-de Bruyn in Uden is a household name in fruit tree cultivation. Currently the third Van Rijn generation heads the organisation. We, Bart and Pieter van Rijn, cultivate a wide fruit tree and fruit tree rootstock assortment. Our production is subdivided as follows:

  • 45% apple
  • 40% pear
  • 10% cherry, and
  • 5% plum.

We are the specialist in cherries and plums; as one of the few companies we cultivate a broad assortment of varieties.

Subsidiary- Uden

On more than 40 hectare in Uden in the Netherlands, we produce high-quality trees for the professional fruit farming industry. This is achieved together with our enthusiastic team of six employees and several stand-by employees. This subsidiary is managed by Bart van Rijn. He is responsible for procurement, cultivation and sales on the Dutch market.

Our company has a strong international focus. This is why we are very well informed on all cultivation technical developments as well as on variety developments.

Since 1992 we also have a subsidiary in Częstochowa (Poland). Here we cultivate a combination of fruit trees and rootstocks. We have also set up nurseries in the Ukraine and in China. Pieter van Rijn is responsible for the foreign cultivation and export.
